Article Abstract:
A UK study on academic standards of students has surveyed 250 university admissions staff and found that students are falling behind their peers of ten years ago. The report, by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Services and academics at Oxford University's educational studies department, criticised the decline in literacy and numeracy standards of all students.

Carl Senior, lecturer in cognitive neurosciences at Aston University, and John Wood, colleague, have invented the mini pod. The mini pod is a broadcast with video and audio clips which is small enough to be sent to mobile phones of students.
