Staff cash in on consultancy
Article Abstract:
The first public survey of the money academics in the UK earn from consultancy work has revealed a new university elite encompassing both new and old institutions. The survey revealed that Imperial College London's academic led the field in terms of gross income between September 2004 and September 2005, generating over UKPd10 million, however, some universities, such as Cambridge and Oxford, do not centrally register all the consultancy work their staff undertake.
