An examination of how the application of science has led to improvements in the performance of the UK swimming team in international swimming competitions. British Swimming, the English Institute of Sport and the UK Sports Institute provide UKPd160,000/yr to Henryk Lakomy and his team of sports scientists based at Loughborough University to monitor the physical condition and performance of every elite swimmer in order to devise ways of turning them into serious Olympic contenders.

Revealing figures behind the styles
Article Abstract:
An analysis of research into the efficacy of some of the most popular learning models used by tutors. The research reveals that a number of the most popular learning models are not particularly effective and it is suggested that tutors should check which learning style they are using so as not to waste their own of their student's time.
