The trouble with ghosts
Article Abstract:
The former dean of Peterhouse College, Cambridge, England, considers the questions of faith prompted by reports of hauntings at the college. The lack of discussion of ghosts in Christian theology is analyzed, and attention is given to the issues raised by the possibility of performing an exorcism. It is concluded that Christian theology does not offer solutions to the questions raised by hauntings, but that theology must provide a framework within which efforts are made to understand these questions.

Ghosts of past haunt present
Article Abstract:
South Africa's science and technology policy was geared toward defense and security before political change which has opened these areas to a wider society. The system lacked accountability and did not reflect the needs of the nation. There is a need for greater relevance and greater involvement and the setting up of goals for the short and long term. Waste and duplication should be avoided through defining the roles of educational institutions.
