UK terror tourists hit Europe's animal labs

The number of animal rights attacks is rising internationally as extremist "terror tourists" travel across Europe, according to data released by the national policing unit for domestic extremism. The data reveals that the UK topped the league for attacks in 2005, experiencing 83 serious attacks, but that attacks in other countries are on the rise, with Sweden experiencing 55 violent actions, the Netherlands 21 and Italy 18.

An analysis of a survey of postgraduates across the UK conducted by the Times Higher Education Supplement and the National Postgraduate Committee. The survey found that the majority of postgraduates felt they are being given proper credit for their work but that 30% of felt their supervisor had poor communication skills and more than one in five felt their supervisors did not have time for them.
