Vacation? Not from my vocation
Article Abstract:
Issues relating to what academics do during their summer vacations are examined. It is suggested that in the past, academics used to use their summer vacation to recover from the work they did during term time and do things like teaching hippy nuns, whereas today's academics are more likely to wade through a sea of books in preparation for the next year than relax and do things like go hill climbing.
