When actions speak louder than words
Article Abstract:
The Higher Education Funding Council for England has requested additional money to set up new links between schools and higher educational facilities. Higher Education institutions are already involved in training teachers and they welcome students who are interested in attending the institution but they are not helping schools improve their standards. Universities could act as resource outlets for local schools. Some educationalists point out higher education may not have anything to offer children from the lower classes. The Labour government is very supportive of education within schools.
