Primal life force under the ice
Article Abstract:
The senior lecturer in anthropology at the University of Aberdeen argues that scientists involved in the exhumation of mammoth remains must respect the animal's mythic status and the beliefs of the native peoples who guide them to where they can find the frozen remains of mammoths. It is contended that while the native beliefs that surround the mammoths and their remains differ greatly from the efforts being made by scientists to find viable DNA in a frozen sample in order to attempt to bring the mammoth back to life, they both share the same sort of mythic imagination and it is this that lends a sense of wonder to the world.

Hold fire ! This epic vessel has only just set sail ...
Article Abstract:
Those criticising string theory, the mathematical theory invented to describe the quantum theory of gravity, should stop to reflect. Physics is basically an exploration of the deep unknown and there are too many loose ends with string theory for it to be the final word.

With string, science has tied itself in knots
Article Abstract:
An argument is presented that the failure of string theory is indicative of a deeper problem in science, namely, modern scientists' unwillingness to step back and reflect on their work from an objective, historical perspective.
