...object to Boston University's proposed 'bioterror' research laboratory
Article Abstract:
The professor of environmental health at Boston University School of Public Health expresses his opposition to Boston University's planned new US$128 million laboratory on the grounds that it will probably function solely as a research and development laboratory driven by biodefense obligations rather than attempting to serve a public health agenda. It is contended that the creation of such a facility, with the inherent risks that its very dangerous research entail, will only add to the development of a biological arms race.
