Phone Source's Randy Strunk sees a move towards high tech telephones. Bob Flowers of Rose's believes phones will be a day-in-day-out business. Just Phones' Bob Armond believes a shakeout at the phone wholesale level will benefit retailers.

Earth station system sales are expected to reach 600,000 in 1984 and some suppliers are moving manufacturing operations overseas and attempting to enter the mass market. Marketing programs are advancing as fast as product sophistication.
