Denon's triple-deluxe A/V receiver packs 3 Surround decoders
Article Abstract:
Nippon Columbia Co Ltd has launched its AVR-5700 audio-video receiver with a price tag of $2,800. The receiver adopts decoders for the Dolby Digital, Digital Theater System (DTS) and THX5.1 system, and is compatible with DTS + THX5.1 and with Dolby Digital + THX5.1 as well as with Dolby ProLogic + THX4.0. AVR-5700 is also compatible with existing and upcoming audio formats such as DVD-Audio discs and Super Audio CDs. The innovative AVR will be incorporated into Denon's DVD-5000 DVD player.

Denon's Lapisia M30 audio products
Article Abstract:
Nippon Columbia has introduced six new audio products under the Lapisia M30 line. These products are the UD-M30 CD receiver; the CDR-M30 CD recorder; the DMD-M30 MD recorder; the DRR-M30 cassette deck; the USC-M30 speaker system; and the M50 speaker system. The receiver incorporates circuitry for limiting noise as well as baffles based on Nippon's super tweeter technology. The models have identical designs and the same dimensions allowing users to configure their own systems.
