High-tech ideas adapt recordable rewritable CDs to key tasks
Article Abstract:
CDs look similar to the black vinyl discs of earlier times but are vastly superior to vinyl discs in terms of recording capacity and audio quality. Prerecordered CDs, recordable CDs and rewritable CDs are different but related categories of optical media. While related, there are also significant differences among them and they require different players. Discs recordable on consumer-use machines are labeled with inscriptions that say that they are for consumer or for music use only.
