Low-profile connectors link chip cards to phones
Article Abstract:
Japan Aviation Electronics Industry has introduced the SF2 line of compact and low-profile connectors for use with the subscriber identity modules of digital cellular phones. The SF2 features six pins and a 2 to 2.6 mm insulator height as well as a 2.54 mm contact pitch. It is rated at 1A and AC 250V rms for one minute while insulation resistance reaches 1,000 megohms. The SF2 has a lifecycle of 10,000 or more connection cycles and can work between -40 to 90 degrees C.

SSR-RF01, SSR-REV01 RF modules
Article Abstract:
SMK Corp introduces the SSR-RF01 transmission module and the SSR-REV01 reception module. Both products are suitable for use in existing wireless remote controllers and rely on radio frequency signals but feature virtually no directivity. Hence, users do not have to aim the remote controller precisely at the equipment. The modules also feature learning capacities and come with pre-programmed codes.
