Thermistors, varistors face difficulties in '99
Article Abstract:
The global demand for thermistors and varistors is expected to weaken in 1999 due to the lack of new uses for these products. The demand for surface-mountable negative temperature coefficient thermistors, however, is likely to surge particularly from cellular telephone manufacturers. In Japan, production of thermistors and varistors dropped 15% in 1998 and is expected to fall by another 5% in 1999.
