Candescent, Sony light on joint FED project
Article Abstract:
Candescent Technologies Corp and Sony Corp will jointly develop high- voltage field emission displays (FEDs) for computers. The display will be thin, work in full color and have designs similar to liquid crystal displays. Because of anodes with higher potential difference, a high- voltage FED lasts longer, has a lower power consumption and provides better color quality than a low-voltage FED.
