Move to digital home A/V networks gains momentum
Article Abstract:
An increasing number of digital audio-video (A/V) products are being interconnected with the appearance of more digital networks. The networks add value to digital products by extending and multiplying their applications. Some of the latest digital products include broadcast satellite digital TV which allow Internet connections and the exchange of e-mail. Further advancements in A/V equipment depend on improvements in semiconductors such as DRAMS which will enable digital TVs to acquire more PC functions, accommodate more applications and operate several times faster than current personal computers.
