PCjr on Trial: IBM's Baby Passes First Test as Industry Sits in Judgement

Third party suppliers of software and peripherals maker are confident that the PCjr will be a success. The microcomputer is expected to stabilize prices and provide new opportunities for software suppliers and peripheral manufacturers. The PCjr will use the 8088-MS-DOS combo. It will be offered through about 1500 retailers and sales are expected to reach almost one half million units in 1984. Market share is expected to be twenty-three per cent. One of the complaints about the PCjr is its keyboard.
