Phase-controlled reactor bucks series capacitor
Article Abstract:
The Western Area Power Administration is planning to commission the first transmission lines equipped with series capacitor banks that provide continuously variable series compensation. The two capacitor banks will allow the power carried by the transmission line to be directly controlled.
