Phones, Computers to Take Up Games Slack in '84 Market
Article Abstract:
The consumer electronics accessories market will have the best of all possible worlds in 1984. Computer, video and phone accessories will show increases in dollar volume of between thirty and 100 per cent. Game accessories will be the only category with a decrease, losing 18.7 percent. Record and tape care accessories will show increases of five and 7.2 percent respectively. Electronics furniture sales will increase twenty-three percent to $381.3 million.

CBS Cancels CED Pressing. RCA Pledges to Pick up Slack
Article Abstract:
CBS has decided to phase out videodisc production at its Georgia plant. Besides RCA, CBS is the only other company in the United States with disc pressing facilities. RCA expects to pick up any slack caused by CBS' departure from the market.
