Article Abstract:
Pioneer Electronic Corp, Japan, has steadily expanded its global presence in the automobile audio equipment market since roughly 1995. The automobile aftermarket in the west has become a key area for the company because of the deteriorating economic situation in Asia in 1998. As a result, it has accelerated marketing strategies in the US and European markets, which are expected to collectively generate 70% of Pioneer's total revenues in 1998.
