Moving from CES, on to Wireless 2000

The 2000 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Jan 2000, provided a preview of the Wireless 2000 show set for Feb 28-Mar 1, 2000, in New Orleans, LA. Some of the products shown at CES that are expected to be similarly featured at Wireless 2000 include FRS radios from The Brunton Co and Maxon America. Other products to be shown are Wireless Marketing's Coleman and Cherokee brands of FRS radios, Motorola's TalkAbout two-way radios and Midland Consumer Radio's new weather radio.

Pioneer plays to digital video performance

Pioneer will launch a new marketing campaign designed to boost its presence in the US DVD market. The company, which carries a new corporate logo, has also launched its new retail program, which include a Pioneer Performance Sweepstakes for selling Pioneer DVD players, Mega and Giga CD changers, MD and CD-R products and SimpleSolution. According to Matt Dever, a product specialist with Pioneer, the company's new corporate logo will be included in all the company's marketing efforts. Products carrying the new logo include DV414, PDP501MC, PDF1007, DV05, PRO-700HD.
