Samsung dives in deep on PTV
Article Abstract:
Samsung, an emerging Korean electronics player, faces the challenge of making digital television (DTV) as much a part of its present as it is an important part of its future. Samsung Digital Products Group Senior Marketing Manager Mark Knox, hinted that the firm's three 55-inch HDTV pre-production models are just part of a large family. Know added that the family will also include new DVD players, set top boxes and possibly DSS in some form. Samsung is also introducing its first analog rear projection TVs late in 1998 and confirmed that it will start selling WebTV devices in the same year.
