Sharp confident in overseas strategies

Sharp Corp (Japan) has developed a solid foundation as an internationally competitive appliance manufacturer due to its development of production capacity overseas and the establishment of a global program. Company output is projected to reach Y615 billion in FY 1998, increasing 3% from over Y590 billion in FY 1997. Sharp foresees consolidated sales of Y940 billion for 1st half FY 1998, while total sales for 1998 are projected to increase 2-3%.
