Crocodile or dinosaur?
Article Abstract:
Organizations need to recognize whether they follow a management culture similar to a crocodile or a dinosaur to ensure efficient management style. The crocodile management culture has greater chances of survival in the technologically advanced world and focuses on organizational traits; such as growth, shared vision regarding progress, and continuous learning and improvement. The dinosaur management culture suffers from progress-hindering traits; such as excessive analysis, slow decision making and authoritative bureaucracy. Several organizational attitudes toward change are presented.
