Is this what's really going on?
Article Abstract:
Readers' responses to the editorial comment on quality activities in universities in the Sep 1996 issue of Quality Progress provide an overview of diverse quality-related issues. Schools merely respond to their market and lack focus on factors such as providing quality-specific programs and fostering strong bonds between business and educational institutions. The community colleges can enhance quality through adequate quality-related courses. Problems that need to be addressed include popularizing and enhancing the stature of quality profession and providing adequate funding.
