1992's National Quality Month or NQM highlights the importance of quality in goods and services in maintaining economic soundness. The campaign, which emphasizes leadership, innovation and discovery, seeks to bring this message to government, the academe, and the business sector. Under the leadership of Procter and Gamble CEO Edwin Artzt, it includes the launching of new publications on quality, release of the 1992 Gallup survey results, and the 47th Annual Quality Congress in Nashville, TN.

The Quality Forum VIII
Article Abstract:
The Quality Forum VIII was part of a series of events to celebrate National Quality Month. It was held in NY City last Oct 1, 1992. The theme for the 1992 forum was 'Quality 1992: Leadership, Innovation, and Discovery.' Speakers elaborated on how these factors affect quality improvement. Results of the 1992 American Society for Quality Control and Gallup survey were also released during the conference.

ASQ section and student branch spark conference
Article Abstract:
An international fellowship program at a small New York College was the first step to an annual Latin American Quality Conference. Section 205 had supported a small ASQ student branch at this college in Binghamton, NY.
