Photogrammerty laser-scanning technology patented
Article Abstract:
INOVx Solutions, an Irvine, CA-based company, has received US Patent No 6,154,564 for its technique of combining data from laser scanning and photogrammetry. The technology, which provides the ability to utilize a 'true' rather than a 'relative system,' is touted to be an improvement on laser scanning and photogrammetry alone. In addition, the technology enhances the modeling process by making laser-scanned data more visually intuitive.
