Quality, the future, and you
Article Abstract:
The American Society for Quality Control predicts widespread use of quality by the year 2010 as the application of quality control becomes mandatory for professional managers. Quality professionals will be very few with the majority being involved in strategy development. ASQC's present vision and plan are insufficient for meeting the future challenges. Organizations will have to be adaptive and tailor their actions in the direction of change. The ASQC Futures Team has come up with four scenarios for the year 2010 with Designer Nation being the most positive.
