Factors influencing farmer participation in the environmentally sensitive areas scheme
Article Abstract:
Factors that influence farmers' motivations for participation in the Cambrian Mountains environmentally sensitive areas scheme were investigated. A behavioral approach considered several factors such as, scheme factors, farmer factors, information environment, and dynamics within the farm district in assessing farmer participation in agricultural-environmental schemes. It was found that a behavioral approach provides valuable insights about farmers' decision-making behavior.

A sensitivity analysis of nitrogen losses from dairy farms
Article Abstract:
A simple deterministic model of nitrogen management was proposed for dairy production enterprise. The sensitivity analysis was recommended to determine the relative importance of manipulating herd nutrition, manure management, and crop selection in minimizing nitrogen losses in the farm. Modifying diet formulation or herd management was potentially evident for reducing nutrient losses in dairy production.
