Assessing floodplain regulation in Glen Williams, Ontario, Canada
Article Abstract:
The implementation of floodplain land use regulations by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) in Ontario are studied due to certain concerns raised concerning these policies. Field visits and interviews with floodplain residents and CVCA personnel were conducted in order to promote a clear understanding of the pros and cons of these regulations. Results show that the floodplain management policy still works effectively despite the persistence of several concerns.
