Contrasting responses of bee communities to coffee flowering at different spatial scales
Article Abstract:
Density and species richness of flower-visiting bees is studied in relation to floral resource availability, provided by coffee, in traditional agro forestry system on a field, shrub, and branch scale. The result shows contrasting responses of the community of flower-visiting bees to floral resource availability, depending on the spatial scale considered.

Demography and habitat availability in territorial occupancy of two competing species
Article Abstract:
A model of two territorial competing species is presented to assess the incidence of interspecific competition in the population dynamics of the golden Aquila chrystaetos and the Bonelli's eagle Hieraaetus fasciatus. It is concluded that the dynamics of these species could be influenced by interspecific competition.
