Research and management of the Giant Mountains' arctic-alpine tundra (Czech Republic)
Article Abstract:
The Czech Republic is launching research and monitoring programs aimed at conserving and managing its Giant Mountains national park. The primary ecological threat is human encroachment from increasing tourism. Other threats include air pollution and climatic change. The programs will include both biotic and abiotic processes to reduce negative impacts.
