International environmental engineering education
Article Abstract:
The Assn of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) is primarily focused on the improvement of environmental engineering education in North America. However, in recognition of the increasingly global concerns of environmental engineers, the AEESP has taken steps to improve its links with its counterparts in other parts of the world. To this end, it has held a series of seminars intended to focus attention on several important issues related to environmental engineering education at the global level.

ORP measurement in anaerobic systems using flow-through cell
Article Abstract:
The study conducted by Gupta, Suidan, Sayles and Flora regarding platinum electrode readings erroneously referred to oxidation reduction potential in the discussion of thermodynamically reversible reactions in sludge digestion. Electrode potential should have been used. Moreover, the use of saturated quinhydrone for calibrating electrodes is questionable. The solution can only be used in checking the accuracy of the electrode's readings.
