Environmental regulation and costs of information: some indications from Greek industry
Article Abstract:
Indirect costs of implementation such as informational costs are a negligible factor in environmental policy appraisals in the field of air pollution abatement. A survey of the implementation costs of current environmental policies in Greece reveals the low indirect costs of industrial firms as compared to their direct costs. The transactional and organizational costs of monitoring and compliance were generally insignificant. The Economic Incentive Schemes are expected to initiate an overall lower implementation cost in environmental abatement.

Climate extremes and adaptive management on the Colorado River: lessons from the 1997-1998 ENSO event
Article Abstract:
The article tracks the processes within Colorado's Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program, which converts climatic and environmental information into responsive water resource management policies. It focuses on the points at which this data enters the policy-making stream, using the El Nino-Southern Oscillation event in 1997-1998 as an illustration.

Incentive compatible environmental regulation
Article Abstract:
An analysis is presented on the role of asymmetric information in environmental law compliance costs in assessing the effectiveness of regulations. Asymmetric information depicts the interaction between the regulative agency and the corporation from which to calculate the expense of compliance versus the cost of enforcement.
