Discussed here is a onetime Episcopal chapel, St. James-in-the-Woods on the edge of Somes Sound, A fjordlike bay that bisects Maine's Mount Desert Island. The way in which the owner Edward Libitzki with the help of his friend Rick Burne, an architectural engineer, now converts the chapel into a cozy home is presented.

Belfast, Maine, which was known as "the Broiler Capital of New England" during the 50s, 60s, and 70s, celebrates the annual Broiler Festival with barbecues and beauty contests in July. The poultry industry's demise in the 1980s resulted in the unemployment of some 1000 residents.
