Article Abstract:
The sun has become more deadly as the ozone layer has depleted. Dangerous ultraviolet A and B rays can cause several types of skin cancer, ranging from the relatively harmless basel cell carcinoma to the deadly, usually incurable melanoma. Sun protection hints are provided and signs of skin cancer are described.

Weather disasters seem to be increasing in 1993. Hurricane Andrew, floods in the Midwest and blizzards on the east coast may indicate permanent climatic changes. Weather researchers blame the natural phenomenon called El Nino, as well as global warming.

Many animals in the Okavango basin hunt and forage by night. A night vision camera captures photographs of hunting lionesses and foraging impalas and hippos. Other animals featured include the elephant, the white-backed night heron and the hyena.
