Herbal medicine has become more popular since the Congress passed the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act. Although the act allows natural remedies to be sold in drugstores, their safety are not guaranteed. Some of the more famous natural remedies include the valerian, cholestin, melatonin, glucosamine, echinacea and goldenseal, ginkgo and St. John's Wort.
