The Americans with Disabilities Act has enabled many disabled persons to regain a semblance of a normal life, with accomodations being made for them both in terms of service and employment. Perspectives on improved lifestyles made possible by the Act are offered by several disabled Americans.

Diabetes is the nation's 7th leading cause of death. Sixteen million Americans suffer from the disease, of which 14.9 million suffer the most common form, type II or adult-onset diabetes. Type II diabetics can live longer if they engage in simple exercise and diet.
