Prochial interests and the centrlized provision of local public goods: evidence from congressional voting projects
Article Abstract:
Congressional votes over transportation project funding is used in order to test for common pool incentives. Local public goods financed from national tax base provide concentrated benefits to recipient jurisdiction but disperse costs, creating incentives for legislators to increase own district spending but to restrain aggregate spending due to the associated tax costs.

The impact of social approval and framing on cooperation in public good situations
Article Abstract:
The experiment related to Gachter and Fehr, which also investigates behavioral impacts of social approval and disapproval is presented. The experiment concluded that identity-revelation is an important policy for increasing contributions to public goods.
