The battle of the keys

KeyTrak Inc has supplied the Family Housing and Billetting Offices at Ft Meade with its Housing Systems computer-controlled key management system for the housing market. With the system, the Housing Office condensed walls of keys into 14 electronic file drawers with locks opened by the computer. Each drawer has slots or locations for up to 240 keys. The keys within the Housing Systems are riveted to key tags and are unidentifiable to unauthorized persons.

Single door to network access: choices expanding
Article Abstract:
Several companies are expanding applications for access control systems from single door units to larger products capable of integrating with higher end systems. San Jose, CA-based Keri Systems offers the IntelliProx 1000 single door keyless system capable of managing a maximum of 500 users. Another company offering similar products is ISONAS of Boulder, CO, which developed the ClearNet (PRC-001) proximity reader door controller system.
