Article Abstract:
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a program called Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH), which aims to decrease health disparities in five racial and ethnic groups: African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, and Pacific Islanders. It focuses on six health areas: diabetes, breast and cervical cancer heart disease, HIV/AIDS, immunizations and infant mortality.
