Silicon Valley slips away from the GOP
Article Abstract:
Recent developments seem to suggest that the moderate Republican stronghold in Silicon Valley is eroding. Observers attribute the area's recent Democrat leaning to the growing right-wing numbers in the national Republican Party. Many moderate Republicans were also disenchanted with their co-party members who expressed too conservative views during the Republican National Convention. However, the moderates believe that they have not lost control on the area. They believe that the reapportionment of the district and the overall clamor for political change gave the Democrats the edge in this instance.
