Outcomes measurement
Article Abstract:
Outcomes measurement in health care is the collection and analysis of data which identify the results of medical care and measure the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care services. Both financial and patient-related outcomes are important to consider in reviewing health care processes and results. Outcomes measurement, carefully designed, can effectively identify the contributions of nurses, physicians, and other health care staff to optimal patient care.

Outcomes measurement
Article Abstract:
Health care professionals employing a multi-disciplinary approach produce better patient care and outcome beyond that generated by specific treatments. Stroke victims, the elderly, and patients with cardiovascular disease have shown greater improvement when a team approach is used as opposed to routine clinical practice, which demonstrated little effect in outcome.
