A deadly duo - TB and AIDS
Article Abstract:
Many people infected with tuberculosis bacteria do not develop active TB, but HIV infection has increased the instance of active TB as immune systems fail to react. Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and US have been affected by this combination.

TB revisits the industrialized world
Article Abstract:
TB is increasing in the US due to immigrants with tuberculosis coming to the US, and because HIV infection leaves those exposed to TB with no immunity. Development of drug-resistant strains is also a problem.
