A fight to the finish
Article Abstract:
Provision for long-term care of the elderly is being reviewed in the UK, at a time when the government is being taken to task by two members of the public over funding for care. Funding care of the elderly is forecast to increase from 1.1 billion pounds sterling in 1999 to 6 billion pounds sterling by the year 2050, making it vitally important to have financial structures in place. Carers are tackling the government on the issue of state funded care, claiming it is their right to having care provided.
