A pro's money advice "Don't do what I did!"(former Clinton presidential deputy asst and CEO of Women and Company, Lisa Caputo, had legal fees following Whitewater scandal)
Article Abstract:
Lisa Caputo was a deputy assistant to Pres Bill Clinton and press secretary for Hillary Clinton in the 1990s. In 1993, she was subpoenaed to appear as a witness in the Whitewater case and had to pay for her own legal representation. It took her many years to pay off her legal bills. She recommends that government employees get umbrella insurance to pay for such contingencies and that they also budget their finances, pay off any debts and keep financial documents in one location.
