A renaissance for the tumor immunosurveillance hypothesis
Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the theory that the immune system can provide surveillance against cancer, focusing on the molecular mechanisms involved in immunosurveillance for spontaneous tumors, or tumors induced by carcinogens. Research suggests that T cells that express the alphabeta-T-cell receptor have a role in the prevention of cutaneous cancer caused by carcinogens.

No tolerance for depletion
Article Abstract:
T-cell depletion is commonly used in strategies that attempt to influence the immune system into tolerating foreign tissue after transplantation. Studies in mice now suggest that restoration of regulatory T-cells allows susceptibility to tolerance to reemerge.
