Article Abstract:
More than 1400 Pennsylvania physicians have either closed their services, limited services or left the state since January 2001 because of unaffordable medical liability insurance. The Pennsylvania Medical Society and the county medical societies are fighting for state medical liability reform, and for high stakes for Pennsylvanias health and its physicians.

Patient safety: Separating misinformation from truth
Article Abstract:
The importance and necessity of telling truth when it comes to the issue of patient safety are mentioned as myth, misrepresentation and misinformation make it unclear and because lives are at risk. In order to stop mistakes the American Medical Association believes in moving away from culture of shame and blame and towards a culture of prevention and safety.
