Assessing the future
Article Abstract:
Although there are many educational articles about wound care in the nursing press, nurses have problems in keeping up to date with it. Wound assessment is particularly important, but can be subjective, so nurses should have up to date information on wound care. There are centres of excellence, and there is a rising number of clinical nurses specializing in tissue viability. There is a need for clearer documentation and the use of a wound assessment tool.
