Researchers explore rare lung disorder
Article Abstract:
Researchers and clinicians are exploring pulmonary arterial hypertension or continuous high blood pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs, which is a relatively rare and incurable condition. N-terminal prohormone brain-type natriuretic peptide is used as a biomarker to diagnose pulmonary arterial hypertension and assess the mortality risk in patients with sickle cell disease.
